Lotus Notes Sucks: Example 79

[Lotus Notes Sucks: Example 79]

The Cut Command

This comes from Ken:

Problem

Ken discovered a non-typical application of the Cut command.

In my computer experience, the Cut command is usually the first step in moving some object. Notes is different. In the mail folders, the Cut command immediately moves the messages to the trash. In the trash folder, the Cut command permanently deletes messages. Fortunately, in the trash folder, you are given one last chance to avoid disaster, as you must answer YES to permanently remove mail from your .nsf database.

I have verified this behavior. Cut behaves as Delete does. This is not good.

User Interface Guideline Violations

Conclusion

Lotus Notes sucks.
