[Lotus Notes Sucks: Example 42]
What's This Help
Problem
In Microsoft Windows, clicking What's This Help is supposed to change the cursor to a question mark/arrow, then allow the user to click a control, such as a check box or button, then show a ScreenTip, describing what the control is for.
Lotus Notes, however, opens its Help file, forcing me to search for help.
Analysis
So much for "content-sensitive help."
User Interface Guideline Violations
- Interface does not follow established conventions,
- Forcing the user to deal with stupidity.
Conclusion
Lotus Notes sucks.
