Attaching a Shortcut

Problem

When I attach a shortcut to a mail message, Lotus Notes attaches the file the shortcut points to instead.

Analysis

If I wanted to attach the file, I would attach the file. If I specifically attach a shortcut to a file, then don't you think that's what I want to attach?

Update for Version 6.5.2

It appears this problem is fixed.

User Interface Guideline Violation

Interface does not do as the user expects.
Forcing the user to deal with stupidity.

Conclusion

Lotus Notes sucks.
