Lotus Notes Sucks: Example 33

[Lotus Notes Sucks: Example 33]

Deleting an Email Message, Part 2

Problem

Deleting a message from my Inbox works differently based on how I delete it.

If I drag a mail message from my Inbox to my Trash folder, Lotus Notes behaves the way you would expect.

If I select a mail message, then click Delete, then I must still press F9, which not only moves the mail message to my Trash folder, but then empties it.

Analysis

So what happens if I want to undelete? I can't.

User Interface Guideline Violation

Conclusion

Lotus Notes sucks.

Update for Version 6

I received an email message claiming that this was fixed in Lotus Notes 6.0 in 2002. It appears so. If you select an email message in your inbox and then press DELETE, emails are moved to your Trash the way you would expect. But it amazes me that it wasn't fixed until version 6!
