Problem

Lotus Notes displays a dropdown button that has something to do with our office telephones:

Analysis

What do these things do? What does Play PC mean? What is "MWI"? ("MWI" is not in the Help index.) Why would I want to reset it?

Update

MWI means "Message Waiting Indicator." It's the red light on the telephone that indicates there is voice mail. Reset MWI turns off the red light if you've deleted your voice mail with Lotus Notes instead of deleting it with the phone.

Howard claims:

That Remark! menu is not part of the standard Notes mail file or any other Notes application I know of. It may or may not be a stupid menu, but it's not fair to blame Lotus for it.
