Lotus Notes allows you publish a database to a library:

Can somebody tell me what "publishing" a database to a library has to do with email? Can somebody tell me exactly why I would want to "publish a database to a library"?
User Interface Guideline Violations
- Application does many unrelated tasks, particularly that have nothing to do with email.
- Forcing the user to deal with stupidity.
Conclusion
Lotus Notes sucks.
